PENGARUH KEPEMIMPINAN DAN TAMBAHAN PENGHASILAN PEGAWAI (TPP) TERHADAP KINERJA PEGAWAI DENGAN MOTIVASI SEBAGAI VARIABEL INTERVENING (STUDI KASUS PADA PEMERINTAH KABUPATEN SORONG)
Abstract
Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian lanjutan dari penelitian sebelumnya yang dilakukan Yohanes Suhardjo (2012) dengan judul Pengaruh Kepemimpinan dan Tambahan Penghasilan Pegawai (TPP) Terhadap Kinerja Pegawai (Studi Kasus pada Badan Pengelola Keuangan dan Aset Daerah (BPKAD) Pemerintah Kabupaten Sorong (Jurnal Solusi, Vol. 11 Nomor 4, hlm. 94-109).
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bahwa variabel motivasi memediasi pengaruh Kepemimpinan dan TPP terhadap kinerja pegawai. Penelitian sebelumnya memperoleh bukti bahwa Kepemimpinan dan TPP berpengaruh terhadap Kinerja Pegawai. Namun selain pengaruh langsung tersebut, diduga Kepemimpinan dan TPP juga berpengaruh tidak langsung terhadap Kinerja melalui motivasi sebagai variabel intervening. Karenanya perlu dilakukan pengujian secara empiris untuk memperoleh bukti yang mendukung dugaan tersebut.
Untuk menguji secara empiris, disusun model diagram jalur yang terdiri dari 2 (dua) persamaan struktural dan dianalisis menggunakan metode analisis jalur (Path Analysis). Persamaan struktural substruktur pertama yaitu Kepemimpinan dan TPP berpengaruh terhadap Motivasi. Persamaan struktural substruktur kedua yaitu Kepemimpinan, Motivasi dan TPP berpengaruh terhadap Kinerja.
Adapun responden dalam penelitian ini adalah para Bendahara Satuan Kerja Perangkat Daerah (Bendahara SKPD) dan Pejabat Penatausahaan Keuangan Satuan Kerja Perangkat Daerah (PPK SKPD) di lingkungan Pemerintah Kabupaten Sorong. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 45 (empat puluh lima) respoden. Data diolah menggunakan Statistical Package for the Social Science (SPSS).
Hasil perhitungan besaran pengaruh variabel eksogen terhadap variabel endogen pada persamaan struktural substruktur pertama menunjukkan bahwa: a) Variabel Kepemimpinan berpengaruh terhadap Motivasi sebesar 0,652; dan b) Variabel TPP berpengaruh terhadap Motivasi sebesar 0,303. Adapun hasil perhitungan besaran pengaruh variabel eksogen terhadap variabel endogen pada persamaan struktural substruktur kedua menunjukkan bahwa: a) Total pengaruh variabel Kepemimpinan terhadap variabel Kinerja sebesar 0,624; b) Total pengaruh variabel Motivasi terhadap variabel Kinerja sebesar 0,537; dan c) Total pengaruh variabel TPP terhadap variabel Kinerja sebesar 0,355
